Separate the VPN connection from other bundled tools
StrongVPN is a consumer VPN with a documented twelve-connection allowance. Its privacy policy and marketing describe a no-logging approach, but this review does not independently audit those claims. Treat the VPN as protection for the path between your device and the VPN server, alongside browser settings and account security.
StrongDNS is also advertised with the service. Smart DNS and an encrypted VPN tunnel are different tools: the availability of a DNS option does not mean traffic using it receives the same VPN encryption. Choose the tool for the task and avoid treating every included product as an interchangeable security feature.
Native apps and manual Linux configurations
Dedicated applications are documented for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. Linux is supported through setup guides for compatible clients and manual OpenVPN configurations rather than a native StrongVPN graphical Linux application. That difference affects setup, updates and where you configure connection rules, so consider the experience as well as the compatibility checkbox.
WireGuard is documented in the four native desktop/mobile apps. OpenVPN can also be used through the supported native or external clients, depending on platform. A twelve-device limit gives room for several active devices, but count the VPN sessions themselves and check the account terms instead of assuming it authorises any kind of multi-user redistribution.
Android exclusions and protocol-specific desktop protection
StrongVPN’s documented split-tunneling guide applies to Android. It excludes selected installed applications from the VPN so they use the ordinary internet connection. That may solve an application compatibility problem, but it also means the excluded application is outside the tunnel. No equivalent native exclusion interface is assumed for every other platform.
The support documentation lists kill-switch controls on Windows and macOS. Its macOS instructions restrict the feature to OpenVPN or L2TP, so macOS WireGuard support must not be read as proof of the same failure protection. Check the specific protocol and setting together, particularly when changing from the default configuration or troubleshooting a connection.
First-year discount and annual renewal
The public website offer lists USD47.69 for the first twelve months and USD11.99 for one month. The linked SALE26 order distinguishes the discounted first year from a USD89.99 annual renewal. The initial monthly equivalent is therefore useful for comparison, but does not describe the later recurring yearly charge.
No verified two-year subscription is included here. Compare the first amount you must pay with the expected renewal, and confirm the final order before purchasing. Regional pages and app-store subscriptions can have different terms; a price from one channel should not be combined with the renewal policy of another. Refund eligibility also depends on the selected plan’s published conditions.
Who should consider StrongVPN?
StrongVPN is worth examining when a twelve-connection allowance and conventional desktop/mobile apps fit your setup. Android users can additionally assess the application-exclusion feature. A Linux-heavy household should decide whether manual configuration is acceptable, while a macOS user should consider protocol choice alongside the documented kill-switch limitation.
Current non-legacy accounts use shared IP addresses, and a dedicated-address product is not part of this comparison. Do not rely on old static-IP server listings for a new purchase. We have not measured speed, streaming access or reconnect reliability; check the applications and locations that matter on your own connection before making a longer commitment.
Plans, first payment and renewal
Introductory offers and renewals are different billing periods. Compare the actual charge and included months, not only an advertised monthly equivalent.

Verified platforms: Windows, macOS, iOS, Android.- OpenVPN
OpenVPN documented through native apps and/or external clients by platform. iOS and Linux can use manual compatible clients.
Verified platforms: Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android.- Kill switch
Documented on Windows and macOS. macOS help limits kill switch to OpenVPN/L2TP; do not promise macOS WireGuard kill-switch protection.
Verified platforms: Windows, macOS.- Router support
Official compatible-router guides include Asus, Sabai and others; firmware/configuration requirements apply.
- Split tunneling
Android application exclusions send chosen apps through the ordinary ISP path. No all-platform app-exclusion claim.
Verified platforms: Android.- Dedicated IP available
Latest non-legacy consumer accounts use shared addresses. Old static-IP server entries do not establish a new dedicated-IP offer.
Questions about StrongVPN
How many devices can connect simultaneously?
12 simultaneous VPN connections; all supported protocols share this account allowance.
Is the introductory monthly equivalent the renewal price?
No. It divides the exact first payment by its initial service period. Renewal is shown separately with its own charge and period; an unknown renewal is never inferred from the introductory offer.
Does a supported platform include every feature?
No. Protocols, split tunneling and kill switches can have different platform support. Use the feature descriptions above to check the app you intend to use.
What does StrongVPN renew at after the first year?
The public SALE26 offer lists USD47.69 for the first year, followed by USD89.99 each year. Renewal prices can change with notice, so confirm the terms in the final order.
Does StrongVPN split tunneling work on every platform?
The verified app-exclusion guide applies to Android. It sends selected applications outside the VPN through the ordinary ISP connection; equivalent native controls are not assumed on other platforms.
