PrivadoVPN Premium and its privacy tools
PrivadoVPN combines an encrypted VPN connection with optional controls such as ad blocking and threat prevention. Its no-logs statement is a provider commitment rather than a performance test by VPNTrends. A changed public IP does not prevent a website from identifying an account you have signed into.
Keep the purpose of each tool separate. A SOCKS5 proxy can route an application through a different address, but it is not interchangeable with the encrypted VPN tunnel. Antivirus is offered as a separate paid addition in the long-term checkout and is excluded from the VPN prices shown here.
10 connections, with manual Linux setup
Premium permits 10 simultaneous connections. Count the devices that will actually remain connected, rather than every app installation, when deciding whether that allowance suits your household. The separate Free plan allows one connection and has a monthly data allowance; it should not be treated as the same subscription.
Windows, macOS, Android and iOS have native downloads. Linux support in this review means manually generated configurations and an appropriate external client. The official Linux OpenVPN guide requires Premium credentials and configuration files. This is a different setup experience from downloading a native graphical Linux application.
Split tunneling and protocol choices
The Windows application includes split tunneling, allowing selected applications to use or bypass the tunnel. Check the current app wording carefully: the release log distinguishes the newer SmartRoute multihop feature from the control now named Split Tunneling. A familiar feature name alone does not establish identical behaviour.
Manual OpenVPN guides cover the five main platforms, while the verified WireGuard configuration guidance covers Windows, macOS, Linux and Android. Manual configuration availability does not mean every protocol is selectable inside every native app. Kill-switch coverage established here includes Windows, macOS and Android; other platform behaviour remains unverified.
Compare the charge today with the later renewal
The observed USD checkout lists a monthly subscription at 10.99, a 15-month introductory period charged at 20.00, and a 27-month introductory period charged at 30.00. The prepaid plans include three bonus months, so the displayed monthly equivalent divides the actual first charge by the full introductory period.
Renewal uses a different period: the 15-month offer renews at 59.88 every 12 months, while the 27-month offer renews at 95.76 every 24 months. These are observed checkout terms, not lifetime price guarantees. The monthly plan explicitly excludes the 30-day money-back guarantee advertised for longer subscriptions.
Who should shortlist PrivadoVPN?
Premium can suit someone who needs several concurrent desktop and mobile connections and wants a low initial prepaid commitment. Its manual router and Linux options add flexibility for users comfortable with configuration files. They should be evaluated on the actual firmware or distribution rather than assumed to work everywhere.
Choose according to the operating system and routing controls you need, then compare the first charge and renewal together. A dedicated personal IP product has not been verified in this review. Speed, streaming access and disconnection behaviour still require practical testing on your own connection; no measured results are claimed here.
