Keep Premium separate from the free service

Planet VPN markets free access prominently, but the paid comparison here concerns Premium. Its wider location access, advertising conditions and account allowance should not be inferred from the free service name. A free connection can help establish whether the software runs on a device without proving that the paid location or required advanced control will behave identically.

The provider publishes its own privacy and no-logging statements. Those are relevant policy claims, but this review does not turn them into an independent infrastructure assessment. When choosing a service, consider the account information required for the paid subscription separately from claims about what the VPN connection itself records.

Native applications and imported profiles are different routes

Planet VPN lists applications for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS and provides a Linux product page. It also offers OpenVPN configuration resources for compatible third-party clients and routers. These are alternative deployment paths, so manual profile compatibility should not be mistaken for proof that every native application exposes exactly the same settings.

For Linux, check the actual installation instructions for your distribution before committing to a long term. For a router, confirm VPN-client support in its firmware and the format of configuration it accepts. A successful manual setup still needs attention to connection startup, reconnect behaviour and how traffic is handled while the tunnel is unavailable.

Verify the advanced function on the intended platform

The Windows page explicitly describes a kill switch, and the Linux Premium page documents that control alongside OpenVPN and WireGuard. This catalogue records those confirmed scopes rather than extending the same claim automatically to every mobile or desktop platform. General educational descriptions of VPN protocols are not enough to establish a specific application feature.

Android Premium documentation adds split tunnelling, which can be useful when particular applications require a direct connection. Review those exclusions carefully because bypassed traffic follows a different route from the protected applications. A generic navigation link to split tunnelling is not treated as proof of identical include-and-exclude controls across the entire product family.

A four-year plan is a fixed commitment, not lifetime access

The official pricing FAQ gives exact euro totals for monthly, annual and forty-eight-month Premium terms. Those currencies and durations are kept together in this catalogue. A visible currency selector is not evidence that a particular euro total should be relabelled as dollars, and no exchange-rate conversion is assumed.

Future renewal charges have not been independently verified, so the initial full charge is not presented as a permanent recurring rate. The longest offer covers a fixed four years, which is a substantial commitment even when its monthly equivalent looks lower. Compare the upfront amount, covered period and cancellation conditions before using that equivalent as the main decision factor.

Check whether you need Premium or a separate personal configuration

The standard Premium subscription permits up to ten devices and is the relevant offer for a household wanting broader location access than the free tier. Count the required concurrent devices and identify the exact client or manual setup for each one. This is particularly useful when computers, phones and a VPN-capable router share the same subscription plan.

Planet also sells a separate Personal VPN configuration product with dedicated-IP positioning. Its prices and capabilities should not be merged into the ordinary Premium account without confirmation. No speed measurements or streaming tests are claimed here. Later practical checks should focus on the intended platforms, required locations and connection protection rather than relying on general promotional assurances.

Plans, first payment and renewal

Introductory offers and renewals are different billing periods. Compare the actual charge and included months, not only an advertised monthly equivalent.

Questions about Planet VPN

How many devices can connect simultaneously?

Up to10devices perPremiumsubscription; not unlimiteddevices.

Is the introductory monthly equivalent the renewal price?

No. It divides the exact first payment by its initial service period. Renewal is shown separately with its own charge and period; an unknown renewal is never inferred from the introductory offer.

Does a supported platform include every feature?

No. Protocols, split tunneling and kill switches can have different platform support. Use the feature descriptions above to check the app you intend to use.

How many devices does Planet VPN Premium cover?

The standard Premium subscription advertises up to 10 devices. That allowance is distinct from free access and the separately sold Personal VPN product.

Is the four-year Planet VPN offer a lifetime plan?

No. The documented offer covers 48 months. Its future renewal charge has not been verified and is not assumed to repeat at the initial price.
