A privacy service with clearly separated tiers

IVPN Standard now includes Multi-hop and AntiTracker. The May 2026 tier changes matter because older reviews can still describe Standard as a two-device service without Multi-hop. Current Standard allows five devices. Plus and Pro Suite add other services, so their bundled extras should not be credited to the Standard price shown here.

Multi-hop changes the route through the VPN network; AntiTracker addresses selected unwanted domains. Neither replaces good account security or makes an authenticated website forget who you are. Choose these controls for a specific purpose and review their behaviour with your normal applications rather than assuming that more features always improve every task.

Desktop and mobile apps have different controls

IVPN provides applications for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android. Its desktop app pages document WireGuard, OpenVPN and a configurable firewall. Mobile app support for those protocols does not establish that the desktop firewall behaves identically on a phone. Select the platform you will use when comparing supported features.

Linux users should pay attention to packaging. The official instructions distinguish the base package from the separate graphical interface, and the Snap environment restricts split tunneling. Android distribution also deserves a check: the official page currently directs users to alternative installation methods while its Google Play listing is temporarily unavailable.

Split tunneling and shared IP limitations

The current macOS app page lists split tunneling, even though an older general FAQ still names only Windows, Linux and Android. This review follows the current app-specific description and keeps the packaging limitation visible for Linux. Test an exclusion carefully, particularly if an application depends on a local network or a particular DNS path.

IVPN does not offer a dedicated or static address. Its shared exit IP model can suit ordinary browsing, but it will not satisfy an administrator who needs your own repeatable IP for an allowlist. Router guides are available; they still require compatible firmware and do not turn every existing home router into a supported VPN client.

Monthly flexibility versus the annual Standard price

Standard is publicly listed at USD 6 for one month or USD 60 for one year. The annual figure is an upfront charge, with a monthly equivalent of USD 5; it is not the price of a cancellable monthly payment. No introductory discount is stated in the tariff used here.

Recurring payments are optional, but an explicit separate renewal charge was not confirmed in this review. The comparison therefore leaves that amount unverified rather than automatically copying the first payment. Check the account billing choice and the final purchase terms, especially when comparing IVPN with providers that advertise discounted initial periods followed by different renewal terms.

Choosing IVPN Standard for the right reasons

Standard is a sensible tier to examine if five devices are enough and you want the VPN features without paying for the broader Plus or Pro Suite bundles. A larger device requirement may change that calculation: Pro Suite has its own ten-device allowance, which is not included in the Standard record.

Our assessment is based on published features and terms, not an authenticated performance test. Confirm your required locations, operating systems and routing options, then assess speed and application compatibility on your actual connection. Compare full charges as well as feature names; an annual saving is useful only if you expect to keep using the service.

Plans, first payment and renewal

Introductory offers and renewals are different billing periods. Compare the actual charge and included months, not only an advertised monthly equivalent.

Questions about IVPN

How many devices can connect simultaneously?

5 devices on Standard; Pro Suite has a separate 10-device allowance.

Is the introductory monthly equivalent the renewal price?

No. It divides the exact first payment by its initial service period. Renewal is shown separately with its own charge and period; an unknown renewal is never inferred from the introductory offer.

Does a supported platform include every feature?

No. Protocols, split tunneling and kill switches can have different platform support. Use the feature descriptions above to check the app you intend to use.

How many devices does IVPN Standard support now?

IVPN Standard supports 5 devices following the May 2026 plan changes. Older references to 2 devices are outdated; Pro Suite has a separate 10-device allowance.

Is Multi-hop included in IVPN Standard?

Yes. The May 2026 plan update includes Multi-hop in Standard. Mailx, modDNS and Portmaster Pro belong to other tiers and are not assumed to be included.

Before you choose
